statement of faith

1

There is one God existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who is the creator and sustainer of the universe.

2

The Bible is the Holy inspired and inerrant word of God.

3

Jesus is God's one and only son, who lived a sinless life yet took on our sins, died on the cross, and conquered death when he rose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will come again.

4

Forgiveness of our sins and salvation are for all who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, repent of their sins, profess their faith, and are baptized. Our salvation is by grace through faith, not by works.

Our people

David Breeden

Director

David Breeden has been volunteering at Blue Ridge Christian Camp since he was in high school. Before moving to BRCC in 2016, David served as an elder at New Hope Christian Church, Roanoke, and worked in local government. He has served as Board Member at Large for the Virginia Carolinas Section of the Christian Camp and Conference Association since 2019. When not at camp, David has a passion for meeting local ministry leaders and encouraging them in their important and often solitary work. David and his wife Jessica have been married for 25 plus years. They enjoy spending time with their two adult children, gathering friends around their table, and traveling.

Jack Breeden

Programs and Facilities Manager

Jack Breeden has been a part of BRCC since he was old enough to be a Feather 1 Camper. In 2016, his family moved to BRCC, and he has been serving in some capacity ever since.  After graduating, Jack worked as the Youth Ministry Associate at Belmont Christian Church, where he still volunteers as a youth sponsor. He joined the full-time BRCC Staff in 2025 as Programs and Facilities Manager. In his spare time, Jack can be found visiting coffee shops far and wide with friends or trying out new recipes in his kitchen.

Morgan Poplawski

Retreats and Donor
Relations Manager

Morgan Poplawski has been a part of BRCC since 2017, serving in different roles and holding a presence at camp with her golden retriever, Camper. With years of experience in campus ministry at Christ’s Church at Virginia Tech and in the hospitality industry, she is excited to serve as BRCC’s Retreat & Donor Relations Manager. Morgan’s favorite things include asking fun questions, bringing people together, and creating spaces for people to rest and be loved. Morgan rarely leaves her home without a journal in hand, almost never says no to a road trip, and is usually traveling (or working) with an audiobook or podcast queued up when she's not spending time with friends and family.

Brittany Botset

Office and Finance Manager

Brittany Botset has been connected to BRCC since 2019, serving in a variety of roles over the years. In 2023, she redesigned the camp's website using her background in product design and continues to maintain the site alongside overseeing registration and financial operations as BRCC's Office and Finance Manager. Outside of camp, Brittany works as a product designer and loves bringing clarity to and thoughful structure to complex systems. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, going to brunch, quilting, and getting lost in a good puzzle.
